Two of my PCs updated NIS 20.X today and had to be rebooted. Now NIS has crashed on both systems and will not run at all! Thanks a lot Norton for such a worthless version of this software! 
After I waste my time uninstalling this garbage and reinstalling NIS 2012 in its place I guess I'll start researching other products to replace this garbage with at the end of this renewal cycle.
PS to the Norton Employee who promised me privately that someone would contact me Re: the ongoing Identity Safe fiasco....No one has made any effort to reach out to me!!
