The "anti-virus1" malware threat- my 360 program didnt catch it!

I have all the latest updates on my 360 program, I just renewed my subcription for the latest version of Norton 360,

However, this morning i found a malicious program installed on my computer . Its called  "anti-virus1"  through research, i found out that this is a known malware program. Theres a big article about it in PC world business magazine.   I immediately wondered, how did this get into my computer when i have Norton  360 ? I figured, no big deal,I will just run a complete scan and Im sure Norton will catch it and remove it. WRONG !

My norton scan said "no threats found" .   So, I went back to the Pc world article and followed a link to a  anti spyware website called Spydoctor. I had to pay  49.99 for a 1 year subscription, but i wanted this  scary  thing out of my computer. So I did it. Low and behold Spydoctor located the  "ANTI-VIRUS1  theat, & completely removed it.

My question to Norton is; why the heck should I continue my subscription to Norton 360, if you couldnt even find this malware program ? and who know what else you arent finding ?

ANY ANSWER , NORTON  ?
