Eraser is a good one as well.

Shred the files or folders and then do a defrag and use the option to "wipe free space".

Then you can check the results by using this free data recovery tool.

(For Recuva, I suggest you download the portable or the "slim" version or you'll end up with the yahoo toolbar)
