The computer "xxxx" is attempting to access replicatord

Continually receiving Norton 360 warnings: “The computer ‘xxxxxx’ is attempting to access replicatord on your computer. Do you want to allow this connection?”

What is replicatord in the macOS?

Product & version number: Norton 360 8.9.3 Build 35

Same issue as well and my understand is that it is related to the new iPhone Mirroring. I’ve told it to Always Allow for replicatord however it keeps coming up over and over…

Caveat: I’m not Mac

Thanks for the links. However, neither works. I’ve clicked “always allow” and the message keeps appearing. My Norton app is up-to-date. On the second link there is no option to select “connection blocking”.

Having the exact same issue. And I tried Chat Support. After the Virtual Assistant couldn’t help (which I really dislike virtual assistants!) I had a 30 minute wait. I didn’t have time to wait. I will follow this to see if there is a solution that works.

I have the same issue since the update to Sequoia.

I am also having the same problem. Surely Norton should be able to provide an answer by now!

I have the same issue - and it is really annoying - you can block or allow - it still keeps popping up continuously

I have the same problem, but the app is “chrome” usually. I choose “always choose this action for Chrome” and choose Allow, but it keeps coming up. I’m about to turn off firewall.

Same issue for me. I spent about 40 minutes on a chat with Norton tech yesterday. The tech remotely assumed control of my MacBook Pro. He went through LiveUpdate then a complete scan. He said that should solve the popup message problem.

Today I am still getting the same popup windows. The frequency may be lessened (but not by much, if any). I am frustrated and hope an update from Norton will be released soon that will alleviate the problem.

We’ll try to call attention. No promises. No timeline.

I’m having the same problem too. Hope it gets resolved. It is quite annoying.

Hi! Thank you for posting on the Norton community. We have released a patch that fixes this issue. Please run LiveUpdate and check. Thank you.

NO!!! Do not allow access.
