using norton security suite 20.2.0.19
the malware: rikvm_38f51d56.sys is in the windows 8 sys directory.
the full scan will not detect, and will cause the full scan to abort and skip to the next items.
norton power eraser will remove it well and running it a second time verifies that it no longer is present.
the norton suite will not prevent reinfection.
please advise
