I'm running NAVirus 15.5.0.23 on XP Media Center v 5.1 Build 2600, SP 3.
After I installed the latest NAV update I keep getting a Help & Support popup. After I run the session I get the following message: The rpc server is unavailable. When I run the support it "fixes" the problem and I get a message stating: RPC Service configuration fixed. The problem is this popup is appearing every 10 ~ 15 minutes; even after I fix the problem. What I have noticed is that my wireless connection drops out every so often for a few seconds and then comes back. Is there something in the latest NAV that requires a constant RPC connection?
Just doing a quick search, I found the following article from Microsoft:
