OK. So you are not worried about the Safe Web question any more. Good to know.

As for the Wifi Privacy. If you are beyond the 30 days from when you originally installed, the only way you would be able to have another trial period would be to create another account with a different email address in Google Play Store.

I will only say that rooting your phone can lead to unexpected behavior, and can leave your phone more susceptible to malware. I have not, and will not ever root my devices. Your choice though.

You could try searching Google Play for cleaner apps that can help regain storage. I feel your pain about not being able to use the SD card for much. I have the same 4.4.2 Android version, and can only put photos and a few apps that are compatible with being moved to the SD card.

Sorry man, I must not have notifications set up for Betsy again, or an email addy wrong.  Here's the deal:

Norton Mobile Security had (I say "had" as this no longer appears) at the top of the main Menu 3 'nags':

1) Norton App Lock -> Free

2)  Norton WiFi Privacy -> Try

3) Norton Safe Search (which now no longer appears).

Before I go further, I should say that I had installed a stand-alone Norton Safe Search from the Gargoyle App Store but never used it ... I think this is where the confusion stems from.  Any way, I noticed the offer in the main Menu of WiFi Security and thought; Great, an integrated app ... I'll use that instead. However, when selecting the nag the install never occurred. I tried this several times. The originl 'gripe' was that the integrated Safe Search was not working. Looking at it now, the nag is gone ... possibly one server has come to a reality check with the other. My confusion was in assuming the nag referred to an integrated module, rather than a free stand-alone version ... thinking that the purchased Mobile Security might have a more elegant interface.  [I know, there I go thinking again!  ;-)]

Bottom Line:  The nag in Mobile Security is no longer there. I have used the stand-alone Free app that I previously installed since then, and "All is well in Mudville"! I'm guessing that the attempt to install Safe Search from Mobile Security's main Menu with the stand-alone app already installed got something confused and Norton would not say "Hey stupid, you already have it!"

"Thanks Dude, for the prompt reply and sorry for spinning your wheels. Now, all I have to do is to get used to Windblows again and a real k-board!  BTW, I tried Wi-Fi Privacy for less than a week and canceled because I didn't get my ISP up in time (thank you Frontier for mislabeling your network interface).  Question is: If I install the app again, do I get a second chance? >>> I got no $$$ until next month, and don't have enough internal SD memory to spare anyway. I'm trying to work up the courage to root this Android 4.4.2 KitKat so the 64 GB external SD can be seen.  ANY SUGGESTIONS?

Hi Art

Are you talking about the icon on your home page? What happens when you tap the icon? It seems to work OK for me.

What phone and Android version are you using?
