I am running Windows 7 Home with SP1. My PC has the Intel Pentium 4, CPU 3.20 GHz and 3.00 GB memory. I just upgraded to NIS 22.5.2.15. Now when I look at the Task Manager, it is showing 26,201 Handles, 974 Threads and 76 Processes and my CPU is running at 100% most of the time. The task Manager also shows I am only using 48% of my physical memory, Kernel Memory shows 413 Paged and 98 Nonpaged (what ever that means). Looking at some of the past posts, I think about 1,000 handles would be considered normal. What can I check, to perhaps get my system working better? I've checked my System Configuration Startup and it shows only 8 items checked. It is an old PC but I mostly use if for reading email, a little web surfing, and mostly working on a spreadsheet in Excel.
