Hello!
I've encountered the following problem lately--for some unknown reason NIS 2011
as well as NIS 2012 beta had stopped detecting and processing all external threats,
web attacks (Blackhole Toolkits of any kind) in particular, the way they used to before.
As a note, I have to work in dangerous environment at times and I know those sites and
what to expect of. Everything used to be O.K. till some day...but several days ago it just
stopped. The protection was set as maximum.
As a test, I tried a virus removal tool of an alternative vendor and it found several threats
on the computer, such as various java-exploits, trojan-scripts etc.
No settings were ever changed inside the product, autofix detected nothing, looks like it
just stopped detecting by itself or was affected by some external factors.
All the other functions (Sonar, updates etc.) were still working.
As a result I have to temporally use an alternative product which has been working
properly until the problem is solved.
OS Windows 7 HP, SP 1, 32-bit, NIS 2011 18.6.0.29, NIS 2012 beta 19.1.0.28.
Looking forward to fastest solution of this problem. I'm not intending to abandon the Norton
and my subscription is not expiring soon.
