I installed NIS 2012 in an XP SP3 system and, yesterday, have had a threats alert showing some 24 entries which NPE or NIS AV cannot remove.
These include W32.Sircam.worm@mm (17 times)
W97M.IJK.B
WS.Malware.2
VBS.LoveLetter.Var
WScript.KakWorm
W95.Hybris.worm (3 times)
I am not running any email software (Oulook or Outlook Express) , have opened no attachments. and, after a full scan, NIS says my system is secure! I have downloaded and run NPE without success.
My system is on a WiFi Lan and I've set read only on shared files
Anyone any ideas of what is going on and how to fix it??
