I am having trouble removing the threat identified as "Tidserv Activity 2".
Norton Anti-Virus keeps detecting it, but tells me that the threat requires "manual removal". I have followed the directions and download the removal tool from Symantec, and then activated it as per the instructions. The removal tool operates, then restarts the computer. Upon restart, a message comes up saying that no virus was detected. Yet at the same time, Norton Anti-Virus is detecting and stopping several Trojans, culminating in a message saying "Threat requiring manual removal detected. System infected: Tidserv Activity 2". I have gone through this dance with the removal tool and Norton Anti-Virus three times now, and my system seems no closer to getting rid of "Tidserv Activity 2" than it was to start with. Further, History does not provide any specific file location for this virus, only giving IP addresses.
Please help.
