I have a message saying, "Threat detected: System Infected: Tidserv Activity 2". I looked through the message boards & found some advice so downloaded the FixTDSS & NPE & tried running both but when I type in my Administrator password, I get the message, "Logon failure: unknown user name or bad password". I even went through system setup & changed the password & tried rerunning it but it still won't let me use it. I'm not the most computer literate out here but I can follow step-by-step instructions if someone could please lead me through what to do about getting rid of this threat?? We really don't have the money to put the computer in the shop right now so would like to try this myself!
