I was unhappy with the internet or "cloud" based model of your software when I first researched it, but because you seemed to have the most complete set of tools, I installed Norton Family on both of my children's PCs. I did not buy the "premium" version because it didn't add anything I wanted - but I would be willing to pay for software that does what I want. But now my worst fears of this software model have come true and uninstalling Norton Family was the only solution I could find.
I want Parental controls to do three things - website filtering; time constraints; and time limits. The first two seem to work fine, but the time limits have failed. I set a certain number of hours for my children. But I want that to be flexible, allowing me to add an hour or two as reward for certain behaviors. But if my child reaches that limit and I go into their profile and change their hours total, nothing happens. And then, there is the emergency PIN, which doesn't work at all - it just says incorrect pin, even though I am completely certain I have used the correct pin. This lack of flexibility or ability to update immediately is a deal breaker - because now I have a PC which is only accessible through the admin account I have set up to manage their PCs
It's too bad, too. Because otherwise, I was pleased with the software.
I just can't figure out why no one can provide a simple program that sits on the local device with controls on the local device.
