Time extension unpredictable

My son's time was set to expire at midnight Saturday night.  At about 11 pm Saturday, I extended the time until 1:00 am using the "Extend time" option through the icon in the tray.  However, when I checked on his activity and usage Sunday morning, I saw that he had visited sites until at least 2 a.m.  I then discovered that Norton indicated that I had extended his time by 1527 minutes rather than about 90 minutes!  In other words, it appears that his time was extended until 1:00 am Monday, not Sunday.

This inspires two questions:

1. Does Online Family have a problem with extension across midnight?  Is there something I might have done differently?  Do I have to wait until midnight to extend it the extra hour?

2.  Is there a way to cancel an extension once it is issued?

We've tried re-extending the time until next logout, then logging out and in.  The view time option grayed out on the tray icon before the logout, but when we logged back in the 1:00 am extension was back in force.

We also tried to modify his time block out to include the current time and updated the settings, but the time extension still overrode the block.  Tried rebooting; that didn't work, either.

Since the tray icon gives you only the option of extending time, we did not try re-setting that for an earlier time.  We were worried that would just tack on extra time to the 1:00 am (that is, if we hit 10 pm, it'd just extend things to 10 pm Monday night rather than reduce the extension to 10 pm Sunday).

Finally, we used the "remove child" option, updated settings, then re-installed the child, but 1:00 is still there!

We are pleased with several aspects of the program, but being unable to extend time across midnight cleanly, and then being unable to cancel an extension, is definitely a problem.  Thanks for any input anyone can provide.
