Time of Day Restrictions

The time of day restrictions have not been working correctly.  Here are a few issues.

1)  If it is set to log off when they are not suppose to be on, We have found that once they have logged on, they have about one minute before it kicks them off.  My teenage child seems to have found that sufficent to go to facebook and read or add information.  That needs to be corrected.

2)  My child will continually log on to the system during restricted times and after a about 10 or more times of logging on and getting kicked off the siteminder software seems to not work right and has allowed them to login.

3)  Once siteminder seems to be broken, it does not report activity online.

I believe this is a better solution to the old parental control method, but seems to have some bugs.  Any suggestions would be helpful.

Hi boltonwd,

1) This behavior is by design.   The program gives 1 minute grace period after logging back in to save the work the child has been doing.  This feature prevents loss of data.

2) & 3) We have not been able to reproduce these in house.  When you say “software seems to not work right and has allowed them to login”, are you saying the child doesn't get the warning screen anymore after 10 or more times of logging on and getting kicked off ?…If so, please check your Private Message.  I have sent you a PM and you can access it by clicking on the List Private Messages  icon in the upper right hand corner of the page.
