For the last 2 weeks, Norton IS 2010 has been detecting a host of .TMP files (3.TMP, 5.TMP,21.TMP and countless others). All of these files are detected by SONAR, are listed as "high" security issues, and appear to be quarentined when discovered. The problem is, I can't figure out how to get rid of them. I've run scans MULTIPLE times, and they keep popping up. I don't know what they are, but obviously can't be good for the system. I've submitted these files to Symantec several times, and have gotten no repsonse back. Any ideas on how to get rif of these things ?!?!?!
The machine is running XP Home w/ SP2.
