I suggest writting up an incident in ETrack against NIS 16.0. If you don’t have an account and don’t want to create one, send me an e-mail with the details and I can copy it into an incident for the product team to work with you to resolve.

Given that I'm not seeing any other mention of problems, it feels a little odd to go broadcasting the problem on the beta board.

Hi James,

Thank you for posting it here first. For any other Symantec Employees testing out the Public Beta and finding issues, please do not post your issues to the Public Beta forums, as that will send mixed messages to our customers. Symantec Employees on the public boards are expected to be experts on our software and to provide information to our customers. Employees posting issues publicly would only succeed in confusing our customers.

In addition to Reese's suggestions, you can also send your issues regarding the NIS and NAV Betas to betafeedback@symantec.com. Thanks!

Thanks Reese, Tony!  I've raised an incident #1378170 in Etrack.

James, you are welcome. Just out of curiosity I went out to look at the incident and it doesn’t appear that your install logs got attached.

Hi Reese,

Doah!  Sorry about that.  I hadn't realised the 10MB limit in the web interface to E-track and don't have the CLI installed.  I've uploaded the logs to Fileshare and have put the account details in the incident ticket.  I'm hoping that someone will attach them to the case for me.

Thanks

James.

As a reminder…Symantec Employees should NOT post issues about NIS/NAV 2009 to the Public Forums. This will send mixed messages to our customers. Please communicate these issues through the internal methods listed in this thread. Any thread started by a Symantec Employee reporting an issue will be removed immediately. If anyone sees a thread like this, please click the “Report Abuse to a Moderator” link. Thanks!
