Running N360 with all updates on Win7 Pro x64 with all updates. Since update to version 2013.2.018 of the Toolbar I am having problems with Firefox 16.0.2 and Chrome 22.0.1229.94m.
If the Toolbar is active and I am sigined into my online vault I cannot logon into any websites or populate form fields while using Firefox with out it showing a "Not Responding" error and eventually it becomes unstable. The data may eventually populate the login or form, but the operation for it to be sent never completes and It requires me to use taskmgr to end the program; even if the "Not Respondng" condition has disapeared. If the above conditions are true and I tell the Toolbar not to enter the data and enter it myself, the same problems happens.
If I don't login to my online vault or totally disable the Toolbar, then I am able to enter login information or fill in forms manually and have no problems with Firefox not respondng and becoming unstable. Sometimes when the "Not Responding" message is showing up in Firefox I also get Norton 360 popping up a Performance Alert dialog box showing that SVCHOST.EXE is using peak resources.
If the Toolbar is active and I am sigined into my online vault I cannot logon into any websites or populate form fields using Chrome with out first getting a diaglog box with a "Plug In is unresponsive. Norton Identity Safe, would you like to stop?" message. If I have Chrome stop the plug in and try the same entry I get a dialog box with a "Norton Identity Safe has crashed" message and the operation completes with the data Toolbar finally populated into the lgoin or form. If I don't login to my online vault or totally disable the Toolbar, then I am able to enter login information or fill in forms manually and have no problems with Chrome respondng and becoming unstable.
This all started druing the late evening EDT on Friday 10/26/2012. Given what is happening with both browsers it seems to me that the Toolbar is having some problems accessing the Online Vault. I have Verizon FiOS service with 75/35
I have scanned my computer with Norton 360 for viruses and registry errors, with latest updated version of Malwarebytes, and the latest updated version of Advanced System Care and have detected no problems.
