Tracking thread for the new version 25.xx release

Yeah, it happens in Edge too…seemed less since I’ve whitelisted community.norton.com… IDK
maybe, blocking 3rd party cookies renders yellow dots … IDK
maybe, yellow dots are related to recent community maintenance

Seems like a recent problem with the forum. It just started happening for me in the last week or two. I’ve made no changes to my ad blocker, cookie settings, etc.

Yeah…me too

Same with me too, probably last week to 10 days now, very frustrating sometimes.

Looks like v25.2 is starting to roll out. I was updated yesterday. So far I can’t see anything that has changed

Hello,
I confirm that I have the same problem as you.
As far as I am concerned, I found that on the one hand Norton Antitrack prevents the display of the community page. I need to whitelist it or disable Norton Anti track. On the other hand, I noticed that when the automatic translation built into my browser is enabled it also prevents the display of the community page.

For information, I received version 25.2.9898 yesterday too.
Now, I have not seen what changes, or “new features” were in this latest version.

I’m using Edge and don’t use Norton Antitrack AFAIK and have had the issue off an on for about a week. The last few days the Community pages load ok for me.

EDIT: And I am back on v22

Thanks everybody for chiming in about the dots. For me using Windows 10 and Firefox, the problem simply started a couple of weeks ago. Maybe one out of 10 tries I might get in. I tried getting in with MS Edge, NG, what seems to be the cure (for me anyway), at least for today was BJM’s idea about why white listing it in my Adblock Ultimate Firefox Extension. If you never see me again, you know that fix wasn’t the answer…Time passes, whitelisting was not the fix for me. The fix is finding someone to report this.

@majorbuzz I got a reply message from Norton that they have the dev team taking the scrolling dot issue for action.

@SoulAsylum… Purrrrrfect. Thanks SA! I hope they do better than their support team, They called me yesterday for the fourth time wanting logs. They promised me all the problems are going to disappear next update. Oh yeah, I’m holding my breath. Why weren’t ANY of them fixed in yesterdays update V25.2? You know what they are full of?

Thank you for your message.
As far as I am concerned, my overall configuration is as follows:
Windows 11 Home 24H2 build of operating system 26100.3323
Microsoft Edge
Version 133.0.3065.92 (Official version) (64 bits)
Norton 360 Advanced 25.2.9898

I did notice that if you have this thread bookmarked to a specific comment. For some reason it will not load right away. However, when navigating to the thread regularly. It loads up just fine. So it maybe an issue with bookmarking the comment, and not the actual thread?

As I revised my bookmark to just link to the thread and not a specific comment, and have no issues since.

Ah ook. Thanks for the post back and info.

Not my experience. This is the first time I’ve been able to successfully open this forum in a for a week. I have the “Norton 360 for Windows” sub-forum bookmarked and experienced the “scrolling dots” for the last week every time I tried to open the sub-forum. I have also tried using Google to search for this thread (which you can find) but clicking on only gets the dreaded yellow “scrolling dots”.

I CURRENTLY also see the dots for about 2-3 seconds before the site opens on Opera GX which is Chromium based. On a new Norton install a few days ago, I had the issue you are having. Was on Windows 11 Pro 24H2 and Opera GX, the solution for me was have Opera clean everything in its caches. GX Cleaner allows me to select certain things without removing everything. I had to remove ALL history, cookies and caches on that device because Opera GX is set to synch with all my devices. Once removed and a reboot things work, although the dots still appear for a short short and the site opens.

On Win10 with Edge, refresh is my friend. Sometimes loads 1st accessing the thread, other times 2 or 3 refreshes needed. I am on v22 of N360 since the new version, well, just sucks.

Hmm, quite odd you couldnt open this for a week. Its been fine for me. If you have Norton VPN or another VPN, it maybe causing a conflict? Check that?

Are you using wifi? As it maybe an issue with signal? Or try power cycling your modem and or router. As that is always good to do from time to time. Especially for when these types of things happen.

I use Firefox and on version 136.0.1.

Using a VPN to get to this site will indeed cause issues.

No VPN and a wired connection (fibre). Nothing has changed with my setup and now the issue has simply stopped. Maybe it didn’t like Australians for a while.
