Hi,
I replaced my wife's computer that had NIS 2012 installed. I would like to keep our 3 computers using the same license so they expire at the same time.
I read that if I uninstall the license from the old computer I can download my 3rd license from my account. The problem is that this computer now boots from the new Win 7 hard disk. The old Win XP HD is a secondary drive in this new computer. Also, this new computer indicates it is already protected with the 6 month trial subscription to NIS 2012 that I have not yet activated. The old computer is gone because it would not boot, but the old HD is readable.
One possibility is disconnecting the new hard disk, then uninstalling NIS 2012 from that disk. This might not work if the old HD is not bootable in the new computer (not tried yet). But I am hoping there is an easier, more foolproof way, that doesn't cost me dollars.
Thanks in advance.
Gary
