I have been trying to transfer my Norton Internet Security for Mac from my PowerBook G4 to my new MacBook Pro. It cannot be done. I contacted Norton Support and was e-mailed a file to download. I installed the program but it does not work. I get a message that "Norton Antivirus Auto-Protect cannot run with the 64 bit kernel. Restart with the 32 bit kernel then re-enable Auto-Protect". I again contacted Norton Support and was sent a link to click on so I could update the Norton program. However, the update won't work. I receive an error message stating that "there was an error performing the update". I would appreciate an updated file to download that will work on the MacBook Pro since I recently renewed my account on 12/1/11. I have Mac OS X 10.4.11 on my PowerBook G4 and OS Lion on my MacBook Pro. Thank you.
