I'm running firefox 3.6, windows XP media center and have 360premier v4, for all who don't know by now;)
AND I've yet another problem that just cropped up; When I turn on my PC, Windows tells me that N360 is off. I check N360V4 and it says Trial period has expired. I have never had a trial version of N360?!?!? So, I click activate and it activates and is fine......but WHY is this happening now?
and....how do I fix it:)

So I've upgraded to Firefox 3.6.2, thinking that might be the problem, to no avail. I rebooted and still Norton shows "Trial period expired". Then I click activate and it activates but for however many seconds it takes me to do that I'm unprotected. Moreover, it should start up when the PC does.
I'm sick to death of spending time messing with Norton!!!! Why won't it work right?!?!?!?!?

The simplest solution should be to contact Customer Support since they have the tools to fix things like this.
To contact customer support Click on this link and work on from there.
You can choose CHAT or Email; phone may have a long wait time and feedback from users tells us that CHAT is by far the best at resolving problems.
Note that that link is to the USA/CAN website so if you are located elsewhere I'm sure you will be able to find the equivalent location on your local Symantec website; some pages have a link at the top right where you can select the country you are located in.

Can you post a screenshot of Norton 360 interface showing that trial period is expired?
