I followed Quad's instructions for the removal Trojan.byteVerify, to no avail. Malwarebytes didn't locate anything. Yet when I reboot, prior to connecting to the internet, Symantec prompts me it has quaratined Trojan.byteverify.
I have Windows XP. I am a novice, so have tried to follow all directions exactly as stated.
I have performed full scans using housecall, symantec, adaware and microsoft security.
On 3-5 Symantec left alone bloodhound.exploit.288, and did a partial removal of Trojan.byteverify from pdf(1).pdf. and quarantined Trojan.Zefrch!gen.
On 3-7 Symantec left an unidentified object alone in a compressed file in in the Java Cache.
on 3-9 malwarebyes located a trojan.dropper and trojan.vundo.
I have emptied my Java Cache, removed Java entirely.
What next?
