Trojan Metajuan

Hello

I have a cunning virus on my PC which has crept past NIS2009.  The Norton Scan finds Trojan.Metajuan but then reports that it cannot remove it.

Symptoms of the virus are that it blocks access to most antivirus web-pages (I'm using another computer to write this), prevents exe files from running off CDs or USB sticks, re-directs some google search results to other websites, puts in registry keys to the HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run entry to call suspicious exe files, e.g. .\System32\do_not_delete.exe and regedt32.exe.

I have the latest NIS2009 updates and my operating system is XP Home Edition.  I have also run Spybot and SUPERAntiSpyware which removed a whole lot of malware that went undetected by NIS, but they don't find this Trojan.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Thanks

PS: I've seen the article on the Symantec website about Metajuan removal, but it talks about UAC*.* files and registry keys, which I don't have, so it's possible a variation on that trojan.
