A few days ago I received an email that I mistakenly opened. The subject line contained something like *.nautica.*. It had Nautica in the subject (recognizable) and I recognized several of the email addresses that had been copied. I clicked on it before I had the chance to process the thought and as soon as I did, I started seeing things on the screen like "Trojan downloading...". I did not take even a second to take note of what I saw on the screen, but instead started hitting keys like a wild man to close down the screen and system processes.
I immediately downloaded the latest Norton Internet Security updates and then ran a full system scan. Since that time, my computer has been acting a bit strange. It used to take 2 clicks of the mouse to select and open something and now it is only one. In many cases, links open just by highlighting them rather than intentionally trying to open them. Today, a person that I email regularly stated that over the past couple days he has been receiving duplicate emails from me. I ran a full system scan again today thinking that maybe the Trojan or virus had been detected and that Norton might have created a fix to the problem.
Has anybody experienced anything like this or seen this virus/Trojan in action? I could really use some help.
Thank you.
