As far as I can tell, the system is operating as it should. Please accept my thanks for your assistance. I see that you volunteer your expertise. Is there a charity or public service organization that you like to support, i.e. one that I would be pleased to support in appreciation of your efforts on my system?
.....and now, for what may be the stupid question......
As I was watching the custom script run last evening, I was staring at my USB backup drive. I realized that I disconnected it when I found the trojans, and it has been disconnected while you guided me through this process.
As it is a backup, would you recommend a reformat or is there another way to eradicate any viruses resident there. I have not reconnected the device at this point.

For your Flash Drive if you think that is best to reformat, then that is OK
Disable Norton
Start OTL again but this time click the Black CleanUp button, then make sure the C:\_OTL folder is deleted.
After that you are free to go on your merry way. You are now fixed / Solved.
If you want Malwarebytes download the Free version to install and don't click the Trial button
If you want to, you can turn off System Restore wait for it to clear the Restore Points and then Turn it back on once you find all is happy. today, tomorrow whenever.
