Trouble in trying to create a Norton Portable Recovery tool to a USB

Hello. I'm a novice compared to most users here so please bear with me. While I do not currently have any issues, I think it is prudent to create a Norton Portable Recovery tool to a USB. I found the instructions on the Symantec site but still have issues. I'm using Windows 10 .

I followed the link and have downloaded, unzipped and installed Rufus to my C: drive and performed its update. I downloaded the nbrt.iso image file to my c drive. The Rufus program was pointing to my desired USB drive and I clicked on the icon that looked like a drive low in the screen of Rufus, browesed to the nbrt.iso file and clicked it. I then chose to run or open, but it gave error:

"Please click on the disc button to select a bootable image, or uncheck the "Create a bootable disc " .

Did I need to do something first to the USB drive? It is brand new.

Thanks the help and guidance.

Great news Brian, glad to help as always. If you feel the thread is solved please mark it so, others then can see the solution in the event they have a similar issue. Have a great evening.

I believe that worked. Thanks SoulAsylum.

Hello Bryan Format the USB device, make sure its FAT32 and give it another try.
