Well, I got that big blue alert when running an old version of Windows 7 Ultimate (without SP1). Posted that img for fun. Anyway, that img would also help starters avoid fake tech scammers.

What Version of Windows are you running on your computer?

or

Windows 7 Service Pack 1 (abbreviated to SP1)

Or an earlier one like VISTA or XP? (I know your screen shot says Windows 7 but please confirm.

You can check this two ways:

If you have the WINKEY on your keyboard (One in from the left of the Ctrl key on most keyboards) then press WINKEY and Pause (Usually up top right but not on all computers)

If you know how to find your way to a function called Run with a box you can type into, then type in winver and you should get the Version details as above.
