I bought Norton Antivirus 2011 DVD and tried to install and got a window allowing several options. I chose "Install Norton..."
The next window had Norton AV 2011 in the top left corner and asked to select the uninstall preference. Thinking it was to uninstall the previous 2010 protection, I chose to keep the passwords as I would install 2011 in a few minutes. That ended in me not having any AV protection at all. So I tried again and somehow re-installed but had 11 days left on my subscription. It never asked for the Product Key from 2011. But I do have the Norton Safe Web Lite toolbar at the top of my browser window now, I didn't have it before.
I must add a few months ago, a pop-up came on offering to extend my Norton protection for 90 days or so. I clicked on Agree. Now I hear, if the popup comes on immediately after start up it's OK, but if it happens in the middle of a surfing session, to close it out. Does that have anything to do with these problems?
