os - xp 5.1 sp3 build 2600. Norton Ghost 14.0.0.24815. Trying to clone drive C. Both drives Segate - source 40Gb - destination 80Gb. Both drives PATA. Desination is new - has a single partition and has been formatted. Checked following options

[x] Set drive active for booting OS
[x] Copy MBR
[ ] Disbale smart sector copying
[ ] Ignore bad sectors during copying

System reports copy completed successfully. Removed old source drive and put in new one. Set jumper setting to Master disk on back of drive. Reboot system. XP black screen comes up normally and then progresses to XP blue screen. System sits there - does not show 'Start' message. Put back old drive. Checked XP event log and Ghost reported that it completed successfully. There is an odd SQL error message in the log that occurs during the copy time(checked time and date of entry) - but I have no SQL services running i.e. database has not been started. Have repeated the process of copying 3 times (each time reformatting destination drive from scratch) and each time Ghost reports that the copy was successful and new destination drive stops in exactly the same place each time. Have checked both drives for faults using Seatools 1.2.0.0 and EasyRecovery Pro 6.10. Please help and advise as this is extremly frustrating.
