Today I renewed my subscription for Norton Internet Security and have been using Norton products on this computer for the past several years. My OS is Windows Vista Home Premium 32-bit OS.
I have attempted several times now to install the NIS 2012 Update and have been met with this message:
A problem has occurred that needs your attention:
This product is not compatible with this product's operating system. You must have one of the following operating systems: MS Windows XP (32-bit) with Service Pack 2 or later (Home/Professional/Media Center); MS Windows Vista (32-bit and 64-bit) with Service Pack 1 or later Starter/Home Basic/Home Premium/Business/Ultimate; Microsoft Windows 7 (32-bit and 64-bit) Starter/Home Basic/Home Premium/Professional/Ultimate

There are no specific indications that my computer is infected. Does anyone have any pointers as to how to correct this problem? Any help is immensely appreciated, and my advance apologies if this has been asked elsewhere on the forum.
