namely, lojack for laptops (it's supposed to report to a server my laptop's geolocation in case it's stolen).
said program isn't reporting to servers, and NIS is the only thing i can think of that might be blocking it.
after googling, i tried to get into settings.
now, i've tried to get help with this before, but clicking "settings" does ABSOLUTELY NOTHING. 
PLEASE advise!
