Norton is popping messages on my new Android, and I have no intention of paying for irritating advertising (yes, I have a paid Norton subscription). So how do I turn off these alerts? I have my phone configured to only alert me when I WANT an alert, and I do not want alerts from Norton suggesting that I buy something.
Norton cannot block any ads. Are you referring to Norton suggesting the Norton Wifi Privacy, and App Lock apps? If so, I do not remember seeing that during installation, but as you say, it seems to have stopped once you have Norton Mobile Security set up.
Apparently some of the ads slipped through between my setting up the app and my following your instructions. The popups seems to have stopped. Thanks for the instructions.
Can you be more specific about what messages you are seeing? Are you referring to notifications when you swipe down from the top of the screen? If so, tap on the three bars at the top left of the NMS screen and tap on App Settings. Scroll down to Ongoing Notifications and turn that off.
