You know when you login to your Norton Account if you have Two Step Verification on you get a Text with the Verification code. I think it would be nice a easier if you could get the Verification code by using a App. Like Googles Two Step Verification App and others.

Thanks for your responce. I have tried this as well as chat with Norton support but without result. They told me that he can escalate the case to the senior level team so that they can help you in resolving this.

Is there any member to tell me what I can do if I don't have access to anyone device that I used for two-factor authentication? Actually, I deleted by mistake, the authenticator parts in VIP app after I had scanned the QR code and enabled the two methods.

What are the different forms of two-factor authentication?

If you use two-factor authentication to access your Norton account, you need to provide your Norton account password and the verification code to access your Norton account.

Following are the different ways to receive the verification code and sign in to your Norton account:

  • App-based authentication

    <p>You receive the verification code through an authenticator app. You can download any free authenticator app such as VIP access, Google Authenticator, and Microsoft Authenticator. On your phone's App store, search for an authenticator app and install it.</p>

<p>You receive the verification code to your mobile phone through a text message.</p>

<p>Voice phone call</p>

<p>You receive the verification code through a voice call to the number of your choice. The number can be a mobile or landline. Note down the code that you hear.</p>

<p>FIDO secure key</p>

<p>Your authentication happens through the FIDO secure key. Insert the key to the USB port of your computer and press the button when prompted for verification.</p>

<p>To use this method, you must first register the FIDO U2F (Universal Second Factor) security key using the Chrome browser. You cannot register the FIDO secure key using a different browser. After you register the key with your Norton account, you can use the button that is available on the key to authenticate.</p>
