Udate failure in Ghost 14

I used live update in Ghost 14.  It downloaded and unzipped, but it gave me error messages saying multiple parts of the update failed.  I was also getting messages about not finding various parts of Ghost.  I've rebooted, and now my tray icon is gone and Ghost won't run.  Multiple error messages come up that relate to C++ issues, the VProTray.exe app, VProConsole.exe, and more.  "This app has requested the Runtime to terminate it in an unusual way. Please contact the app's support team for information...."  This is the usual error message when I try to run.

I have a disk for Ghost 10 and the downloaded update files for Ghost 14.  Should I start over?  I'm also getting ready to build a new Windows 7 machine, and I thought I could copy everything into Ghost and use it to move what I wanted to the new machine.  Since Ghost doesn't run on Win 7, perhaps I should trash the entire thought, and go back to Retrospect to make a full copy of the disk on a back-up drive, using that to grab the content I want to move onto the new machine.  Any suggestions?

Its very disappointing to see Norton not writing Win 7 updates for Ghost.  I've already moved away from other Symantec products due to better ratings from others when my licenses expired.  I was happy with Ghost, but if it doesn't run on Win 7 ..........
