It looks like NIS just does not know the application. Are you able to find it in your firewall?
Nope, it was not in the Firewall>Program Control. I added it; however, I do not "think" UltraMon accesses the Internet.
It shows the Target is C:\Program Files\Norton Internet Security\Engine\16.0.0.125\MCUI32.exe.
It is beta and it is software so it probably is searching to " home" through the internet
On further investigation, this occurs when the NIS 2009 is opened via double clicking on the NIS icon in the Notification Tray. I “think” NIS 2009 is blocking Ultramon from inserting the switch-monitor hot buttons into the NIS main window.
Have you checked your UltraMon version? << Version 3.0.1 includes unspecified updates. >> [CNET download]
Perhaps it is even trying to update itself? <s>
The latest beta version is 3.0.3 which is what I have installed on my system.

You shouldn't worry too much about this, it's a non-issue.
My NIS 2009 also routinely 'blocks' Sysinternals Process Explorer yet it functions just as it should.
UltraMon is trying to access a portion of the running NIS product in an unacceptable way. This message is showing that the Norton Product Tamper Protection feature has prevented UltraMon from obtaining that access.
Ah, Beta! <g>
Might be an idea to revert to the previous non-beta? Although note Reese A's comment.
