Unable to access App Serial Number in Norton Password Manager

I’m wishing to add mobile unlock to an iPad of mine but I have two with the same name. I can’t seem to change device names either so I went looking for the app serial number. However, the hamburger menu doesn’t exist on the iPad version of the app so I can’t access it. I’m assuming it’s just a simple oversight by the dev team.

Device make and model: iPad Air 3rd generation, iOS 15.4.1

As you have figured out, you need to register the new phone for Mobile Unlock, even if it has the same phone number. Try turning off Mobile Unlock in your NPM extension Settings. Then with NPM open and logged into your vault on your phone, try setting up Mobile Unlock again and see if the new phone is recognised.

 

Just got a new iPhone with approximately the same name and now mobile unlock is not working, in that, the phone does not receive the unlock notification.  I assume the wrong phone is associated with the Password Manager.  In order to choose the right phone from the list of phones known to the Manager I need to find that "App Serial Number" associated with the phones.

Is this serial number found as part of the iPhone or part of the Norton software installed on the phone?

 

For the name of the iPads, look in iOS settings under Settings > General > About. Tap on Name and change the name to something different from the other iPad.

I'm not sure what you mean by adding Mobile Unlock to an iPad. Are you wishing to use the iPad for the feature to unlock your password vault for your other devices?
