I am just new around here and sadly to say it will probably be a short stay. I had Norton Antivirus 2010 installed for a couple of months and going well. What I liked about it was the way it performed all scanning during idle periods.
Unfortunately I decided to partially uninstall due to a suspected conflict but when I reinstalled I had two problems, no internet access and no Norton on taskbar even though it appeared to be running in Task Manager. Only way to get internet access back was to completely uninstall.
No amount of using removal tool and reinstalling would fix the problem and the hot fix throws an error as it is for an earlier version. An analyist staff at Norton kindly spent quite a bit of time on my computer live but was unable to fix the problem. How can this software be so buggy with so many problems if it is uninstalled.
