Unable to access website

I will report back in 6 days due to a problem

@KatieQ

Any News?  As I wrote before;

 "  I installed NSM (Norton Safety Minder) to my Asus Laptop with Windows 7 and Internet Explorer 9. Security software ESET NOD32 Antivirus 3.0.667.0.  After installing, Internet explorer 9 can't access any website. Google chrome however still works. Also other internet connected programs still work! De-installing and installing again (3 times) din't solve the problem."

Is there a solution how I can USE IE9 again together with NSM. For the moment I Uninstalled Norton Safety Minder so I can use IE9.

wkr, Estinio

estinio,

We are checking into the issue.  Can I assume it works fine with Norton Safety Minder 2.2.0.38 and ESET NOD 32 installed using Firefox 7?

Thanks,

Katie

Firefox 6+ IE 8 are not available for download anywhere. IE 8 doesn't support windows 7. IE 9 + The latest versions of google chrome + firefox don't allow me to access ANY websites EXCEPT the actual online family safety. I have removed my Antivirus system which is eset smart security 5 and tried all the options but, still no luck.

evelynemoussa,

Please make sure you have removed all of the components of Eset smart security.  I've  had users who had similar issue (not necessarily using Eset) and later they found out they didn't remove all of the components of the incompatible products.

Thanks,

Katie

I just tried that. I uninstalled eset smart security from Programs + Features and deleted both folders in Program Files and Appdata. I was able to access websites just after i did that but when i rebooted my lapotp i wasn't able to access any websites again

Any help?

Windows 7 complains of program compatibility problems when Nod32 version 3 is installed.  If possible, consider upgrading to the most recent version of nod 32 version 5.

I have the most recent version

Our tests here indicate that ESET Nod32 version 5 appears to be compatible with the Norton Safety Minder. Earlier versions of ESET (3-4) are not and can cause connectivity problems.

How did you uninstall the ESET NOD 32 from your machine? The behavior you described could be as a result of an incomplete uninstallation of ESET.

I went to programs&features and uninstalled the programs. I also deleted all eset files from appdata
