UNABLE TO ACTIVATE NORTON 2010 WITH WINDOWS 7

Sorry, I had to re-post it in here as I post it in the wrong forum earlier.

I  hope someone in here can help me with this problem.

Recently I purchased a 3 licence 2010 antivirus. I installed it in one of my desktop running on Windows XP and it worked perferctly, got it activated seemlessly.

Then I installed it on my TOSHIBA Laptop running on WIndows 7 upgrade.

When I bought the Toshiba laptop, it was running on Windows Vista 64 Bit home edition with 2 Version of the Internet Explorer installed. One was the regular Internet Explorer and the other was the 64-Bit Internet Explorer.

I was using the regular Internet Explorer on the Vista 64-Bit OS.

Then, I upgraded the Windows 64-Bit Vista to Windows 7.

Here's the problem, Windows 7 runs on Windows internet Explorer 8 with 64-Bit. Windows 7 could only use Internet Explore 8 64-Bit to connect to the internet, not the regular 32-Bit INternet Explorer.

I then installe the Norton AntiVirus 2010 and after the instal was complete, Norton tried to connect to their server to activate the licence but the result was it connot connect to the server due to no Internet Connection

This is absurd because I could run Internet Explorer 8 64-Bit in the backgroung and was surfing the net.

I notice Norton was pulling up the older version of the Internet Explore which does not run on WIndows 7.

I then download APPLE SAFARI but the problem still persist.

I have been trying this for a week now but nothing is working...

Any suggestion?

When I downloaded the Apple Safari and started to install it, Norton pop up a warning saying "You are the first person to install SAFARI with NORTON 2010 and it might not be compatible"

Any help today would be appreciated.

Thanks
