Unable to Activate on Samsung Galaxy Tab

Hello,

I am trying to add a Samsung Galaxy Tab (model SPH-100) with Gingerbread (build EF17) to my existing Norton Family account, which has 3 children and 2 other tablets (different brands) already on it.  On the Galaxy Tab I can get to the point where it says "Choose Child".  But when I try, I get "Failed to associate this machine to child account".  The device shows up in the account at that point, but is not associated with the child.  I can manually do that while logged into the account.  However I can never finish the install to activate the client on the tablet.  I have uninstalled, deleted the device from the account, and started over several times. I've tried adding a new child. But, the end result is always the same.  I have a case open with Symantec tech support on the problem.  I tried calling yesterday and they were supposedly transferring me to "2nd level" support.  But after being on hold for about a half-hour, I hung up.

I did notice something I thought odd.  When the Galaxy Tab shows up on the account, the icon for it is different from the other tablets.  It looks more like a desktop than a tablet.

If an anbody else has run into this and knows how to resolve it, I'd appreciate hearing from you.

THANKS,
