Unable to activate product with my current product key - NIS 16.8

Hi, I've purchased multi pc protection and one of the 3 pc's I have, was damaged and Dell have to replace the hardware with a new one. I uninstall the Norton Internet Security on the damaged pc which I still have a remaining 250 days on my subscription. I installed the internet security to the new hardware drom dell but it will not allow me to activate with the key I used to have from the damaged pc. anyone can tell me what to do? thank you for any input in advance.
