Unable to complete System Restore due to Norton Antivirus

I have the latest version on Norton 360 (3.5.2.11).  I Have recently installed Windows v7 and tried to use System Restore to roll back to a restore point dated 29 Oct 2009. After the computer re-starated, I received an error message saying that System Restore could not be completed and suggesting that the problem could be because of Norton antivirus. Could anyone advise how I can overcome this??
