Unable to configure Parental Control

Issue abstract: Unable to activate/configure Parental Control. UI is unresponsive after activation completed. Restart or reboot of the machine again requires activation.

Detailed description:

I have Norton Family for a few months but I have never been able to actually use it. I have installed it without error. Now each time some logs in on the PC, they are presented with the “Configuration Required” dialog.

After pressing next, activation is performed with a rotating circle animation. Next I get “Activation Completed”

When I now press Next… nothing happens. I can only press the X mark to close the windows. But then Parental Control still complains that it is not activated nor configurated. After a reboot or logout/login, parental control pops up during login asking to activate it. Always ending with the unresponsive Activation completed screen.

I have tried removing and reinstalling. I tried alle troubleshooting documents I could find concerning activation or configuration problems. Nothing seems to work.

I even tried switching network by enabling hotspot on my Android and using the internet of my mobile provider instead of my home network/internet connection. It makes no difference.

I also installed Norton Family Parental Control on a different laptop.. again exactly the same behaviour.

Product & version number: Norton Family 25.10.10528

OS details: Windows 11 24H2

What is the error message you are seeing? none. just an unresponsive “Activation completed” window and the unability to continue configuring Norton Family

Hi @Suyambu
Thanks for looking into this. I have now indeed been able to configure Norton Family correctly on both computers.
