Unable to connect to network proxy server

Recently, I've been unsuccessful trying to run liveupdate, twice.

 

The icon spins around - check for updates - status is processing, then I wait,, and wait,,, and wait,,, and wait then

liveupdate fails to complete - IMO, fails to even connect.

 

I get this error message:

Unable to connect to network proxy server.  Please check your Norton proxy settings.

 

Please, any suggestions?

Why wasn't I able to connect to the proxy server to run liveupdate, last night 06/28/12, or early this morning, 06/29/12?

Hi,

If you didn't change anything between the time you could not connect and the time when you could I would expect that the problem was not with your system. A bit more information about the systems and the network would help if you want to try and isolate the problem. It may not be possible to do that unless the problem is present.

Are you connecting your network to a proxy server? If not, then check your proxy settings in your Norton product.
