Norton 360 w/ VPN & Lifelock and the option to have Dark Web protections:
I thought I followed directions to remove coverage from a device under my plan: Logged into my Norton account, selected My Subscription, he clicked on Devices, but when I click on a device (any device) there is NO option anywhere to delete or remove a device like the instructions said there should be. I have tried multiple times, but nada. If I have a plan that says I can protect 10 devices and currently have 6 or 7 covered, but it is only showing me 4 devices as covered but also a few that are "inactive". How do I remove devices that should no longer be covered?
Yes, the option 'Remove Device' has been removed.
We'll try to find out what happened to Method 1
Method 1 ›
Sign in to your account.
Under Device Security, click View Devices.
Under Manage your device(s) identify the device you are no longer using.
On the bottom-right of the tile, click on options (...) and click Remove Device.
Click Remove.
Kenny_D:
The option to remove a device from account using the three ellipses dots has been removed by what appears to be a UI enhancement. I was in touch with Support yesterday and didn't have much success in resolving the issue. There is no way currently to remove a device unless Norton see this and revert the silly change. You can remove a license from a device but our accounts will now be cluttered with devices we don't want to exist. Come on Support, get this silly change reversed and let us do housekeeping. Thanks
It is amazing that none of the responses recognized the description of the problem. When in the Devices page and clicking on ANY of the devices listed, there is NO option ANYWHERE to delete or remove an item from protection. There is no "bin" as some areas of support talk about. I would love to delete the item that should no longer be covered, and it would be great if ALL of the 7 items that legitimately are covered actually showed up on the list. Norton seems more and more to just be a piece of sh$t and the support fails to address the problem in any way. I would love to know why support staff seems not to understand the language used to describe the problem.
Respectfully @Disappointed User
Community users recognize the problem...understand the language used.
Community users know that Remove Device & Remove License were removed.
Respectfully. You are missing the notations that the Devices page is often inaccurate and does not function the way it should.
You also missed the instructions to open your Norton Account and click on My Account at the top right. Then find your current subscription and click on Manage Licences. That is where you will see a list of your activated devices along with a trash can icon beside each to remove it.

Norton account does not display your devices correctly
Due to a data sync issue, you may see the incorrect status and information about your devices on the My Norton portal. If the Norton device security on your device displays the security status as 'Protected', then you may ignore these alerts.
Remove incorrect devices and install protection
To update your account to display only your currently protected devices, with the correct status, you need to remove the devices that display incorrectly and reinstall or activate your protection on those devices again.

Norton Remote Management sends the health status of your device and other information to the My Norton portal. You can use the My Norton portal to view, manage, or explore Norton products and fix some protection issues with your device remotely. By default, Remote Management is turned on.

The first thing to check is to open Norton 360 Classic interface on your devices by clicking on the Norton icon in the system tray and clicking on Open Norton 360.
Then click on Settings > Administrative Settings and be sure Remote Management is turned on.
That will allow the device to be listed in your account. It may take a little time as it is not instantaneous.
