I am trying to uninstall Norton Family from a Windows PC. The uninstall window comes up and asks me to login as "parent credentials are required to uninstall". I cannot login, however, because every time I try it asks me to "complete the security check to sign in" but there is no security check shown in the login window within the uninstall. I can login just fine to Norton's website via a browser, but cannot login through the uninstall process and so I can't uninstall Norton Family.
Hi Alyna,
Thanks for reaching out to the Norton Family Forum.
We apologize for the inconvenience caused.
We are aware of the security check issue and are actively working on fixing this issue. We will also update you once the fix is available. Meanwhile, please use the Norton Family web portal (Norton Family | Parental Control Software for iPhone, Android, Windows) for removing the child's windows device. Once the device has been removed, you can uninstall the Norton Family product in the windows device.
Alternatively, you can use "Request one-time password" in the login screen to receive the one-time password and proceed to uninstall the product.
More information on the steps to remove the windows device via "Norton Website" can be found in the below link:
Remove or rename a device from your Norton Family account
Thanks,
Norton Family Team
