Unable to mirror desktop using Big Sur

I'm running MacOS Big Sur (Version 11.1) on my iMac and I need to mirror the desktop to an Apple TV. Everything worked fine until I installed Norton 360. Now I can't get mirroring to work. As soon as I remove Norton 360 everything starts working again. Has anyone else seen this issue? If so, is there a solution other than not using Norton 360?

I've included two images. 1) Show that mirroring is enabled to my Apple TV, Ken's, And 2) shows the error that eventually comes back about not detecting sound on Ken's

Is there a 8.6.1 version of Norton 360 for Mac? I just downloaded on 1-8-2021 and got v 8.6 build 175.

I too suffer from problems mirroring my screen to an Apple TV.

I can get it to work by disabling "Vulnerability Protection" on the Firewall configuration screen, but would like this to work with protection on

Be sure your OS version is withing the requirements noted in the product announcement linked in lmacri's post above.

This build is applicable only for macOS 11. And is currently not available for macOS 10.15 and below supported OS.

Unfortunately, there is no way to test if this problem is solved in 8.6.1.  You cannot manually get the update and who knows what Norton's algorithm is for rolling out this update.  I have this issue too, among others posted on this forum, but there is absolutely no communication from Norton on why we cannot get this update.

It is puzzling as to why you would announce an update and then not make it available.

Hi kentatkmplace:

Does this problem occur with Norton for Mac v8.6.1 (rel. 17-Dec-2020 - see the product update announcement <here>)?  I don't use Norton for Mac but there are several threads in the Norton for Mac board about recent Norton Firewall and network connectivity issues, including Andreas 71's Unable to Use Apple's Network Services with NORTON 360 BIG SUR.
