Unable to purge files OR remove computer from NOBU

I recently purchased a new computer, and need to delete old computers and/or purge files from NOBU so that there is enough space to back up my new computer.  I am unable to do this.  Help and the on-line virtual assistant direct me to the home page in NOBU, and then I should be able to use the drop down menu to remove an old computer.  I also should be able to purge files as an option under the previous computer.  However, NEITHER OF THESE OPTIONS exists. I have tried contacting Norton via live chat, but the wait times are up to 1/2 hour, and then I give up.  I am UNABLE to get through on the phone, as Norton hung up on me twice.  I am also UNABLE to e-mail Norton as this option is also not working.  At this point I would like my money refunded...  Not a useful product if it does not work!  I would appreciate any assistance, thanks.

Am using N360.  Tried through N360 on BOTH old computer and new computer, unable to delete back up files as I get a message that it is the only back up file and therefore it is not possible to delete, thanks.,

OK, that explains it. Do you see the Norton Drive under My Computer? If yes, it's another way you can purge the content. It will remove it from Norton 360 but will not remove the visible end points in the NOBU web, That'll be something we will have to help you with once you get the first part completed.

found 3 sets of files this way, all deleted through my new computer.  What next?

All that's left next is to remove the sets visible on the web If all the older sets you wanted to purge are gone from the Norton 360 interface. If this is a yes, send me a private message containing the following:

 

  • The email address associated to your account
  • Confirm you want either all or specific sets removed from the web interface
  • A link to this forum post for reference

Once I have the info I'll submit an engineering ticket to get the work complete. It will likely take a day or so to finish up.
