This is my first message here so please accept my apologizes in advance if I have posted this in the incorrect
fourm. I purchased an Acer AspireOne computer for travel and it came with McAffee which I removed and installed Norton AntiVirus 2009. There were no problems with the installation however I am unable to connect to the Norton website to register my copy. The response is a window opens stating "Activation Not Complete", No Response Received From The Symantec Server.
I am able to connect to the Norton web site however when I attempt to access the "Existing Norton Customers" help area IE states it "cannot display the web page". I receive a similar message when I attemp to access the same help page using the Firefox web browser. I know I am able to access the internet as I can surf other sited using both IE and Firefox however something is blocking access to Norton.
I am running XP and I have turned off the Microsoft Security Center firewall and still no help. In addition I have removed and reinstalled Norton 2009 with the same results so I am at a loss as to what to do. Any and all
advice and suggestions are welcome and I will provide further info if I have left anything out. Thanks to all for
